A Contact Probe is clamped in the Milling Machine or Machining Centre spindle in place of the tool , It can then be used for finding the xyz axis position of the work piece relative to the machine spindle.

The Operator can quickly establish suitable xyz positions on the work piece, and from this, set a machine Coordinate System to a suitable work piece feature (work piece must be an electrical conductor – METAL NOT PLASTIC).

Probes have a 3D movement in xy & z direction ,and with a generous overtravel of 6 mm on contact to help prevent damage.

The Probe has a repeatability of 5 microns, with a contact ball diameter of 5 mm.The Probe Shank diameter is a 20 mm plain fitting
